Weekly Arcade's collection features hand-crafted arcade games designed for quick sessions and high-score chasing. Every game runs directly in your browser with instant load times.

Short runs, high scores, one more go

Arcade games are built around the run rather than the session. You start with nothing, the difficulty climbs on a curve you can feel, and it ends - usually in under five minutes - with a number. Stack Tower speeds its block up by a fixed increment every time you place one, from 2 to a cap of 8, so the ending is scheduled rather than random. Voidbreak and Swarm Surge add a roguelite draft on top: what you pick between waves changes what the next run even looks like. Snake and Coin Cascade are the pure form - no upgrades at all, just execution. The shared property is that a run is short enough that a bad one costs you nothing.

How scores and leaderboards work

Each game keeps daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards rather than one all-time list, so a good run this week competes with this week rather than with three years of accumulated record-holders. Scores are validated server-side against per-game rules, which is why a submission carries the game's own detail - the highest tile in 2048, the wave in Voidbreak - alongside the number. You can play every arcade game here without an account; signing in is what lets a score be recorded. Nothing about the game changes when you do.

Arcade Games FAQ

Are these arcade games free to play?

Yes. Every arcade game on Weekly Arcade is free with no ads, no downloads and no purchases of any kind. There is no premium currency, no energy meter and nothing gated behind payment.

How long does one game take?

Most arcade runs here finish in two to five minutes. Stack Tower and Coin Cascade are shorter, often under two; Swarm Surge and Voidbreak run longer as you survive more waves. All of them are built so a single run fits into a break rather than requiring a session.

Do I need an account to get on the leaderboard?

You need to be signed in for a score to be recorded, but not to play. Every game is fully playable anonymously; signing in is what makes a run count on the daily, weekly and monthly boards.

What is a roguelite arcade game?

One where each run starts fresh but offers you choices along the way that shape it - Voidbreak drafts one of twenty-six upgrades between waves, Swarm Surge picks weapons and evolutions as you level. The run is short, the build is different every time, and nothing carries over to make the next run easier.

Can I play arcade games offline?

Most of them, yes. Once a game has been loaded once it is cached and will start with no connection. Leaderboard submission is the one part that needs the network, so an offline run plays normally but is not recorded.
