Neon Beats is a free browser rhythm game with a neon synthwave aesthetic. Notes fall in four lanes, each lit in cyan, magenta, yellow, or green against a deep dark background. The beat is generated procedurally via the Web Audio API — no audio files to download. Timing windows reward precision: Perfect (±50 ms), Great (±100 ms), and Good (±150 ms). Miss too many notes and your health drops to zero. Survive longer as the BPM climbs from 90 up to 160. Chain combos to hit the 8x multiplier and watch your score rocket. High scores are saved locally and synced to the global leaderboard when signed in. Six achievements reward everything from your first Perfect note to a 50-combo streak and a 50,000-point run. Each note hit scores base points multiplied by your current combo multiplier (1x, 2x, 4x, or 8x at 0, 10, 25, and 50-note combos). Perfect hits score more than Great or Good hits. Missing a note resets your combo to zero and costs 10 health.

Different devices and browsers have different audio output delays. The latency offset (in milliseconds) shifts the hit window earlier or later so notes feel perfectly in sync on your specific setup.
The BPM starts at 90 and increases by 5 every 30 seconds, capping at 160 BPM. The game ends when your health reaches zero from too many misses.
