Delete Your Account
Weekly Arcade - weeklyarcade.games and the Weekly Arcade apps for Android and iOS
Delete it yourself, in under a minute
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us:
- Open your profile, on the website or in the app
- Open Settings
- Choose Delete account and confirm
Deletion happens immediately. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account afterwards.
You have to be signed in, and it only ever affects your own account. This page cannot delete anything by itself, and the request that does the deleting is authenticated and acts on the signed-in account only. Nobody can delete anyone else's account.
If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@weeklyarcade.games from the address you signed in with, with the subject Delete my account. We reply to that address to confirm before deleting anything, so a request cannot be used against someone else's account. We will complete it within 30 days, usually far sooner.
If you never signed in with Google, your account is anonymous: it exists only in the browser or app you played in, and holds no name, email or password. We have no way to identify it from an email, so we cannot delete it for you. Clearing the site's data in that browser, or uninstalling the app, removes it permanently instead.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your sign-in credential and account record
- Your email address, name and profile picture
- Your username, which is released for anyone else to take
- Your saved games, achievements, experience points and coins
- Your multiplayer ratings
- Your push notification tokens, on every device
- Your email contact record, so you stop receiving email from us
What is kept, and why
Two things survive deletion. We would rather say so plainly than let you find out later.
- Leaderboard entries and multiplayer match records. Deleting them would rewrite other players' rankings and match histories. They remain, but with your account gone nothing connects them to you and they show as "Player".
- Analytics data already collected by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. It is not linked to your account, and we cannot trace it back to you in order to remove it. You can ask those providers directly.
Nothing kept contains your email address, your name, or your picture.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
- Stop email: turn it off in your profile settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Stop push notifications: turn them off in your profile settings, or in your device's system settings. The stored token is deleted.
- Clear a game's saved progress: each game's own reset control does this.
- Release your username: clear it in your profile settings.
